The Mercury Soul Orchestra is the brainchild of award-winning composer-conductor Mason Bates, based in San Francisco CA. The group is an ever evolving morphing conglomerate of some of the best instrumental musicians in the talent-packed bay area. Primary performances for the orchestra have been for Mercury Soul events where the makeup of the group will shift to accommodate the chosen repertoire.
