In April 2023, Mercury Soul’s sold-out event at Saint Joseph’s Arts Society presented a sumptuous mix of loungey DJ sets, meditative classical music, and immersive production and stagecraft.

Sets by DJ Masonic (Mason Bates), DJ Justin Reed (illmeasures, Chicago), and special guest DJ Gavin Hardkiss were interspersed by performances of Renaissance chorales by Gesualdo and Lotti and music by modern masters Arvo Pärt, Aphex Twin, John Cage, and Philip Glass conducted by Arun Saigal. Musicians encircled the audience, performing from the main stage and the catwalk above. The warm resonance of piano & strings drifted upward, while a luminous brass ensemble sounded from above and behind, wrapping the audience in a  tapestry of music.
