Keith Geeslin
President of the San Francisco Opera Association, Keith Geeslin has been a General Partner of Francisco Partners, a firm specializing in structured investments in technology companies undergoing strategic, technological, and operational inflection points, since January 2004. From 2001 until October 2003, Mr. Geeslin served as Managing General Partner of the Sprout Group, a venture capital firm, with which he became associated in 1984. Currently, Geeslin is a member of the board of directors of Synaptics, CommVault Systems, Inc., and Allston Trading. Geeslin received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Engineering-Economic Systems from Stanford University, as well as an M.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University.Son of a mezzo-soprano, Geeslin was exposed to opera growing up and played piano as a child. Among his favorite San Francisco Opera performances are hearing Ruth Ann Swenson as Gilda in Rigoletto in 1997 and Karita Mattila as Emilia Marty in The Makropulos Case in 2010, as well as experiencing the 2011 Ring cycle. Wife Priscilla Geeslin serves on the boards of the San Francisco Symphony, American Conservatory Theater, NARAL and Grace Cathedral.
