Born in Wisconsin, Nate honed his DJ skills for 20 years living and working in Chicago . in that time – he established himself among a globally renowned crowd of artists as of the scene’s most respected figures. Originally a product of the early-90’s Midwest rave scene, he got his start DJing in Madison WI and promoted events there often. In 2000 he relocated to Chicago where things took off quickly.
In Chicago, Nate made a huge mark as the head Talent Buyer and Music Director for the legendary Chicago institution Smart Bar (2009-2013). His contributions there include the creation of Smartbar’s Sunday night party Queen! featuring residents Derrick Carter, Michael Serafini, Garrett David and the late Frankie Knuckles as well as the creation of their yearly Movement pre-party and BBQ at TV Lounge, Detroit.
Nate is also a long-time member of the Midwest Burning Man community and an early resident for Chicago’s now-legendary Freakeasy- an honor dating back to 2008. It was there he met and partied with fellow Freak/Mercury Soulist Justin Reed along with attending MS events and working with us in Chicago and San Francisco
In the end it is DJing and building community that has always remained true to his heart and he has maintained a close relationship with the US underground through regular DJ appearances throughout Chicago and the Bay Area.
